One of 4 Dryers
We now have 4 dryers that accommodate 3-4 tons of wet beans per week. The dryers are well-raised above the ground and are turned several times a day. The "wings" on the side are taken up during the day to prevent humidity inside. The dryer base is bamboo and the rest is local wood. We also put a net above the bamboo to prevent the cacao from sticking to the bamboo (it is lifted regularly when beans are turned).
